Any garden machine is only as good as its engine and the Billy Goat OS552H is fitted with a 162cc Honda GX160 model; a powerful and ultra-reliable OHV unit that's characterised by its fuel-efficiency and low-emission, low-vibration operation.

Unlike seeding with a spreader, where the seeds are merely dropped to the ground, this powerful machine has a 51cm-diameter vertislicing reel that's designed to cut slits in the ground, ensuring a far more productive and efficient contact between soil and seed for optimum germination.

The seeds are carried and distributed from a front-mounted seed-box which is manufactured from rust- and weather-resistant polypropylene for impressive durability. It has a capacity of 11.3kg.

The Billy Goat OS552H features an innovative ‘Auto Drop’ system that minimises seed wastage. The heavy-duty bale is in control of seed-distribution and also engages the blades so the seed drop and bale engagement is started simultaneously.

To make choosing drop-rates and operating the machine even easier, there are straightforward instructions conveniently displayed under the lid.

Infinite height-adjustment facilitates precision setting for flexibility-of-use and accurate results.

The handles fold without tools, easily collapsing for transport and storage; and there are steel guards in place to protect the premium steel pulleys and bearings.
